Exclamation Teksid Block

I know this question has been asked before but I couldn't find in on the search. If I wanted to do a Teskid 2V build what problems would I run in to? I know the Teskid blocks were in the 4v 96-98 cobras. The only thing I can find on google is the drill of the coolant hole on the drivers side gasket. Any information or advice would be awesome!

in all reguards, you really dont even have to drill out that coolent hole. im using a teksid in my build with arp bolts and some of the bolts/studs and gaskets are aluminum specific. i havent got to fit the timing cover yet, but ive heard there is an extra hole in the cover you might have to fill. the teksid is a great, lightweight block. good luck with your build!

You absolutely need to drill the coolant hole to use 2V heads on a Teksid block. Everything else is the same. As stated above they take different side main bolts, and a few block specific hardware items.

If I was to do the build would I need to purchase different headers then the ones I currently have or would they bolt right up to the block?

No the ones you have will work. Just remember, that they have a 4 bolt main rather then just the standard most steal blocks have. Also, the main bearings themselves are different.

Sweet great info guys... The weight difference of the Teksid is about 90 pounds which would lighten up the front end alot too.

Also would my current Procharger bolt right back up?
