I won a 2012 5.0!
Hey guys, haven't posted here in a while but wanted to share with you all the greatest Christmas present ever.
Back in November I got a notice in the mail that I had won a 2011 Mustang GT in an online sweepstakes I had entered! Needless to say I couldn't believe it but it took about a month to get everything squared away. First, there are really no 2011's still on dealer lots so I suggested to the marketing company changing the prize to a 2012 model. They agreed and in early December I went to a dealer to pick out the model I wanted. The test drive was absolutely amazing... that 5.0 is down right sick. I knew right then and there that this was the one. It's a 2012 Black GT premium with HIDs, Brembo package, & rear sensors. I've had it for about 3 weeks and have just sold my '01. It sold within a day of posting on Craigslist, and the buyer turned out to be a big Mustang fan as well. I'm gonna miss that car being that it was my first, but glad it's going to be driven by an enthusiast.
I'll check back in to this section every now and then, but wanted to thank all of you for all the advice over the years. Now for some pics...

Lol don't get me wrong, I understand how fortunate I am. Just goes to show you that ppl really do win those contests. It really came at the perfect time bc the old car was overdue for some repairs that I didn't want to put the cash up for. As for the new one, can't wait to start modding it... going for an all black theme.

@ Explosive: When I went to the dealer to pick a car they had one Comp Orange Boss 302 left in the showroom. At $42k MSRP I was thinking of just applying the cost of the GT and paying the difference... but then I saw the $5k dealer markup and othe BS fees and figured the GT would be the smarter choice. And the head sales guy actually tried to talk me out of it like he didn't want to sell it to me, prob cuz I am pretty young.
