My SCT came in today with BAMA, What tune yall using?
yep, pluged it in on race and took it down the road a few times, wow. imma 5 speed and it felt pretty bad A$$. i have 87 street - 91 preformace- and 93 race, i shoulda done 93 on preformance also because it is my DD. all i have done is CAI o/rx and cat back.
what tunes yall running? i ordered the combo from AM so i cant wait to install my gears with this tune. i am very happy.

but my little brother uses the 87 octane tune, there really isnt that big of a difference between it and the 93 tune, maybe a few hp but not enough for the "butt dyno" to feel, the gears are going to make all the difference

i wouldnt think so, just your wallet...
these motors are really too small to respond THAT well to increases in compression or timing, youll get pretty much all of the "feel" with the 87 tune, as it leans the car out a bit and takes away the timing pull during shifts
FWIW, i didnt need to run 93 in my PI swap (10.7:1) i could get away with 89, the -3cc pistons im running now however NEED 93, but thats also an 11.6:1 motor...

I have the 89 street, 89 performance and 91 race. I did have to change the performance tune to 89, because she was pinging slightly on part-throttle acceleration with the 91 tune I first chose. I have the PI swap.
Maybe the gas is just crappier here in Tucson, or it's being at 2600 feet....

I'm running an 87 performance but I think all that changed is where I can rev up to max if I step on the gas and something else because my 93 race tune gets me a tenth in the quarter mile.
When I used to DD my car I ran a 87 street tune, but 87 performance didn't really change my gas mileage either. I just couldn't justify spending extra coin on 93 octane when DD through traffic. And I was filling up 2x's a week since work was pretty far.
