Default Got time for a SWITCH?

I'm sure I'm missing something very simple, but here goes nothing...

2004 Mustang GT Convertible. My wife got a billet replacement convertible top switch. ALL of the other switches swapped out simple, but I can't get the convertible top switch off... It feels (and sounds) like it's going to break.

Is there a simple way to pop the rocker portion of the switch off without destroying it???

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

It works the same way as the door switches, but it is tough to get out of there. I did mine by working the top left corner loose with a small flatblade wrapped in a rag,and just kept at it until it released, just work carefully and be patient.

Thank you. Like I said, I didn't want to force it if there was something holding it.. I'll go back and check it out.

Thanks again.

Sure. Just be patient with it. If I remember there is an additional bar in the center as a retainer as well. I think this one was the hardest for me as well. Even the cruise switches were easier.

Just wanted to drop in and say THANKS.. I did exactly as you said, and it worked perfectly.
