Alright so I got my V1 last night from ups and im looking at it closely and im not sure if the spot between the pulley and the shaft is supposed to have a key to keep it from spinning? I dont know or maybe when the bolt is tightened wouldnt need a key?

 

Yes it needs a key....

 

Would any local parts store carry something along the lines of what I need or can I just fab something up thats strong enough?

 

I got a perfect little key from lowes one time when I needed it...

Any store like that should carry them.

I would assume the pulley would start spinning on the shaft and not actually turning the blower without that key in it.

 

The key is needed. Most hardware stores will have them.

 

Its all good i got in touch with the person i bought it from he mailed the pin out this afternoon.
