Tremec Swap
I got the one with the 2.66 gear ratio. I asked alot of racers to figure out the best option for me, and they said that one.
Dont be jealous crash, It was supposed to be here last thursday, and all I have so far is a bell housing and driveshaft. So for all I know, I might have to cut a hole out of my floor board and flinstone it.
UPDATE: I got the auto tranny out. The starter was not fun getting out. I know I can leave off one bolt off of the starter. Is it the top or middle one? Ill have to play the waitling game for my new transmission. Good thing I waited for spring break to start taking it apart.

You'll love the 6 speed. I've only had 5 speed Mustangs up until a year and a half ago. Going back and forth between two similar power/set up cars (one with a built T5, one with a T56) the T56 is such a smoother trans to push through the gears with. If I ever get another Mustang, T56 is on the top of the mod list. Wish I had one in the '70 Mach 1.
Thanks guys!
I GOT THE TRANSMISSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its soooo nice! I plan on putting it in tonight. Only things Im missing for the install is the shifter boots and tranny fluid.
How many quarts of dextron III should I put in?

I'd be very very interested in knowing your total out of pocket costs for doing this swap.
I have an Automatic 2001 and would love to put a 6-speed in it, if it would even fit. Doing a little reading the T56's are listed for 03-04 so I may be SOL.
I'm super green to this kind of work however and the data I've found on the internet discussing an Auto to t56 swap has been hit and miss.
thx
** I'd also assume my 4speed Auto transmission would have some sort of resale or trade in value? It has under 60k miles.

Everything from D&D performance that I bought cost $4205- T56 kit, quadrant, firewall adjuster, clutch cable, clutch fork, ball stud. Take $50 off of this however, because I didnt realize it already came with a ball stud.
The xtd stage 3 clutch with throwout bearing and pilot bearing cost $180 after taxes
Flywheel and resurfacing cost $95
Fott Pedal Assembly and 3650 wiring harness cost $200
the steeda triax lever and shelby racing **** cost $90
So a total of 4720 after removing the uneeded ball stud. You also need transmission fluid which is $20 and a few odds and ends like lever bolts, and the c clip for the clutch cable
