I've had 1.5 inch hubcentric spacers on the back of my car for over two years. Never had one problem, ever. I admit, they are the poor mans way to a wide stance. But anytime one takes a wheel off, for whatever reason, the mating surfaces need to be lightly sanded clean.

My 315's will be here on Monday. After two years, I can finally ditch my spacers...lol

Funny that it did not do this until he just mounted new tires.

Yea I don't like the look of the fake stance. My buddy had 9" wheels with 285's and spacers and his filled out the outside of the wheel well well but from the back it looked silly.

My 315's sit about 1/4" away from my exhaust on the inside and fill the outside of the well nice. Love me some staggerd mustangs!

Somebody here on the site put 335's on their stang...and I about went in my pants it was so sexy! haha

Yeah, its possible. Axles are pretty tough though. I never implied that it wasn't a possibility. Unless the OP is out jumping his car, or the tire mounting guys used a forklift and chains to tear his tire off, I find it a little unlikely it would be a bent axle. Especially since it began after mounting new tires.

But, you never know, I could be wrong. I sure hope its not though. Sounds like it'd be the most expensive to repair...

LMAO... Yeah, I always thought my car looked a little cheesy from the rear. Looked amazing at every other angle, except the back. But, not everybody can afford big fat wheels/tires. And it was a definite improvement over the factory "tucked under" look.

And they make a 335 tire?!!! What size wheel do you gotta have for that monster to fit on?

IIRC he put it on an 11" custom made wheel.
