finally go to the 1/4
Never ever raced the 1/4 before. Had such a blast and of course you always have fun when your with friends and cars. Anyways I think I did so so better then I expected for my first time. I was car #256. Cars all stock other then some after market flow masters and I was on some cheap nexen 3000.

lol Alot of factors can go into that including track prep. I seen a centri blown 5.0 last night running 12.9s and 12.8s like back to back even with the drag radials he had in the back he was strugglin' for traction off the line. Same thing with those three gt500s out there that kepts running mid 13s. There was also a s197 non sc roush out there running high 14s and one low 15 out there.

I understand that to an extent, however when I pull the same terrible 60' times and still manage to be in the 13s. a stone stock gt should be a 14.2-14.0 with a solid driver, 13s with perfect condition

Yea i can agree with that. At that same track I ran my mustang some years ago with a catback and midpipe with sumi's in the rear and I was able to pull off a couple of 14.2s @97(auto) and it was slipping of the line and once it went into second gear and that was with 2.1 60ft times. And just last night the same track there was a guy in a 02 stang lowered, exhaust, cai, handheld tune with nitto dr's in the back running back to back mid to high 14s.

#1 mod is the driver mod. Either he's getting massive tire spin and not letting off and holding first gear to long, or getting spin and shifting to second way to early. This is assuming there is not something drastically wrong with the car. Seems more to me like he went to have some fun and not really run good times, just wanted to fly down the strip. Nothin wrong with that.

Yep just had loads of fun my first time. Learned a lot too! Like that I have to stay out of the gas through 1st when launching learned that after spinning through 2nd but I still beat the Honda lol. Played around with my air pressure on these crappy tires. dropped to around 30 and took my et from 16 to a 15. Hopefully I can get into the 14s soon. Just gotta work on that launch and 60' times... whenever I go to Mustang week I'm sure ill learn alot about this car down there

Well man, practice makes perfect. The more you get out there and make passes, the faster you'll run, event without adding mods!
Then I can set you up with some suspension and sticky tires, and drop MAJOR time off of your quarter mile.
It looks like you ran 95mph on the last pass, which is closer to where you should be. Your user info says you have an '00 GT. A stock '00 GT in ideal conditions will run 13.9 @ 100. (at least, that's what I ran) Your 95mph trap speed was pretty close, so you're getting there. The elapsed time will come down with better launches, and speed shifting or power shifting.
