* 500 on a stock motor - won't hold up, you need a forged block
* 20-22 MPG city - HAHAHA.....not even the fuel sipping 5.0s get that much.....it's a Cobra not a damn Civc!!!
* 3200lb curb weight - why, it's not going to make much of any difference either way, but if you insist, remove the A/C, remove the stereo, remove the spare tire and jack (not smart) and that'll get you close. Car weighs 3400lbs

So to answer you shortly, to get to 500 hp you need a forged block, and either a high PSI supercharger, or mild cams and an S/C.

Honestly, it's gonna cost you so much to do what you want to do you're much better off selling the car or trading it in for an 03/04 Cobra. Those have 390 bhp out the box, and with around $500 in mods they can be pushed near 500 rwhp.

Yea you'll need a forged motor

You could easily get 22+ with a vortech or procharger on the highway, city would prob be mid teens because let's be honest the go pedal is fun.

Your wrong. Tubular K member, coilivers, light weight seats and wheels, solid axle and rear seat delete would get you there. Not all the unnesseary stuff he listed.

You also don't need high psi, unless 12lbs is considered high, 12 psi on a vortech with an x pipe would get you there I would almost put money on it. Cams would make it possible with less boost but they aren't needed at all

FYI stock seats barely weigh anything it's removing the power motors that make a difference. The rear seats are lighter than the mdf they use to make the deletes

Also with the cobra making only about 260 rwhp na he will need a high boost sc, the 12 psi kit would only boost a cobra to around 420 or so rwhp
