Default EVERYTHING needed for lowering

So... GT needs to be lowered.

I'm looking at dropping it with these springs.

What else do I need to buy? I've read through several forum posts and there are mentions of all kinds of different parts that I have never heard of. I'm not interested in racing; lowering it solely for looks and casual back road driving.

Thanks,
Clayto

Gotcha - these isolators look like something I will definitely want with the lowering springs. Would you recommend shocks and struts, too?

You need caster camber plates with the h&r springs and if you want decent ride quality look into the bilstien hd shocks and struts. You may also want to look into a bumpsteer kit as well but they aren't always needed but can help.

JUST lowered my car today as a matter of fact. Springs, shocks , struts, spring isolators and MM caster camber plates was all I used. A BIG improvement in handling and looks. Worth it. You will need an alignment. We managed to set it up to where we didnt need to align, but im going to anyway. All total my parts were around 800 dollars FYI.

That's good information. Thanks for posting. Pictures?

Would you mind listing the specific parts you used, and if you purchased online, websites (links). You can PM If you'd rather.

Thanks again everyone for the response.

I used the front and rear Isolator kits from american muscle, also got the Caster plates from american muscle (forum sponsor), MAximum motorsports 4 bolt. I got the Koni StrT struts from Strano http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...=72&ModelID=21 (Forum sponsor) and the got the springs from Voghtland http://www.vogtland-na.com/sportsprings.asp. I didnt take pictures yet. Maybe tomorrow. The springs I bought actually came with poly isolators and a new bumpstop for the rear axle, which was a nice unexpected bonus.

Sounds like a great setup.

I have not heard of Koni before, but I noticed that these shocks/struts are not adjustable. Is this common for shocks/struts? Like I said, I probably won't ever be on the track so I can't imagine that I would need to do any adjusting.

Here's what I'm considering:
H&R Super Sport
Koni Shocks/Struts from Strano
MM Caster Plates
Isolators

If you want lower just ditch the isos, a lot of guys run no isos in the front and keep them in the rear. I have all of mine in but I can't afford to take them out with how low I am.

-Springs
-isolators (if no isos are used, then ground clearance will be ~3 inches depending on tire diameter)
- C/C Plates
- Shocks/Struts ( I've been using factory ones on my super sports but the car "bounces" when pushed to the limits)
