Default Assemble shortblock myself??

Alright...so I've got an engine I'm sending to the shop to be fluxes, bored, and honed.

Should I have the shop assemble the shortblock too? They will cover it under warantee if they do.

Only thing is I'm trying to do this rebuild cheap, and machine shops aren't cheap!

Opinions?

Do you have all the tools to do it? Ring compressor, ring filer, thickness gauge, boroscope(or atleast plastigauge) It wont be much more to have them assemble it, and you cant beat a warranty!

I would advise you to have the shop do it (if you can afford it). I took alot of short cuts and am paying the price right now..If they offer you a warrenty then it's most def a no brainer.. GL!
