Default coolant light keeps coming on

Had to replace the stock intake manifold a few weeks ago and I replaced it with the ford racing performance improved manifold. Replaced the thermostat and temperature sensor. New plugs and coils and boots. Cleaned the injectors and put new seals on them... everything runs fine no leaking car never gets over halfway on the temperature gauge. But for some reason the coolant light keeps coning on. Off when i first start it but 5 10 15 mins in it's always coming back on... what could cause this? Would a code reader tell me anything?

either a bad connection at the level sensor or the sensor itself is screwy. its on the coolant bottle. I assume the coolant is at the proper level

Yep right at the full line. Checked 4 or 5 tines after i swamped everything. Hasn't lost a drop. I believe you right it may be the thing in the tank... umm the float I remember having trouble with that now. Sometimes I had to tap the tank to make it raise to the top. Ill check it out.. thanks man ill let you know something

mine did this, after putting in cams i kept getting the coolant light on when the level was good, I ended up just unplugging the sensor cause i got so tired of it, with it unplugged it never comes on now and I always watch my guages good so i'll notice if the car were to ever get hot for some reason.

Thats a bad idea. Your computer no longer knows what temp the coolant is at. The PCM tunes your motor based upon input from your ECT sensor.

^ what he said. the temp sensor is on the intake. this is just a float in the coolant jug bottle. i'm assuming over time the float gets stuck/damaged causing the lights to come on and off at random sometimes.
