Ok so i bought brand new venom 42# injectors off corral from a guy who didnt need them any more. But now after studying them a bit, im nervous. Is this a big risk to run these, opinions? Id be dead in the water without a good set of injectors and im really trying to get my install done this weekend, but a motor is not worth a short time schedule.

Also i know this is gonna sound bad, but i had a few thin long pieces(1/4 inch or so long) of what looked to be bearing material when i changed the oil. Not a spun bearing flake type but like maybe an edge that shifted and got scraped off a bit. It wasn't a lot of stuff, im thinking i should be fine, but opinions on that too.

Not sure about the oil question, I've never dealt with a freshly built motor.

As for the injectors, it seems like either you have very bad luck with them...or you don't have any problems with them. IF you are that concerned about it sell them and buy a set of FRPP or a brand that is know to be dependable. I certainly wouldn't risk a blown engine on a set of cheap injectors...

If you are concerned about the injectors have them flow tested and cleaned. You can also pick up a set of Cobra 39# injectors for around $170. Not sure what to tell you about the oil.
