Default Thoughts....

There is a 96 Mustang GT that I can purchase for $1000. Now this is not something I normally do but it had me thinking. The only thing wrong with the car is it has a cracked head. Now, with that said I have a complete 96-98 Mustang GT engine, long story that I can get parts out of to fix the other car.

So do you guys think it's worth it to buy this car? If so, what type of realistic profit could I make off of it? Only thing I'd need to buy is gaskets. Interior is a good condition, exterior is in good condition.

All fixed up you could probably get around 3-4000 for it. It is going into the winter so the value of mustangs is going to drop a little.

If it's in good shape with the exception of the head and you can do the work yourself, I think it's a good buy

OK, one last question. Does anybody have a link with a good "how to" pertaining to a head install on the modular 4.6L NPI motor? I've done 5.0s before without a problem, but that's a OHV set up. I've never done an over head cam. I know the basics, but would really like a good write up just so I can glaze over it.

I would be all over it if it were local to me. The head gasket job is pretty easy, timing it will be your only challenge and even that is easy if you take your time.
