Well I found a chassis connector diagram for 98-2004. Problem is (don't laugh) my buddy tells me just cut the wires and change them around and reconnect with butt connectors. I did that first unfortunately I was backwards so I actually repinnned it the right way, or so I think, and the o/d light flashes. I have a 96 gt, installed the 98 transmission. I need help with repinning the chassis connector. If I have to grab another harness from a 96 and repin it the right way, with out cutting the wires ill do that. Just need help with the whole procedure. Read somewhere that after repin you have to use the 96 sensors? Is that correct? Thanks for any help! Reallllly appreciate it.

Maybe Im reading you wrong.. But what connector are you trying to re-pin? The one up on the firewall? Or the one going into the trans range switch?

The connector that connects the main connector to the transmission. On 97 and older its 9 pins on the 98 it's 7 pins

I got it all in. Took a while to gather up the right info. Do yourself a favor and take the time to repin te connector the right way, like taking each wire out and doing it the right way. You'll need the connector diagram for the 96, to get the proper wire color, an the 1998-2004 connector diagram, (black transmission). I doubt I can post pics.

Here is what ou need

It's a pretty amazing deal big difference I have stage 1 transgo, shift kit in mine pretty damn sweet

All you need to do is repin the connector and it will work like a charm, the repin is not hard just takes time, do it before you out the tranny in and it will work fine. The transmission went in smoothly.
