Anyone ready for an altitude check? My best time at Bandimere - it's not good so be warned - 15.15 @ ~ 94. Bolt-ons, gears, pulleys, tune, shorty headers, short throw.

I hate altitude, so much. The car ran a 14.3/14.4 @ 96(IIRC - that may be off) the very first time I took it strip in Hawaii, dead stock and no experience.

stock 5spd cars should be rolling 14 flats, or a tenth or two off.

Agreed, in Hawaii with a little more practice I probably could have gotten a 14.1 or 14.2. But here in Denver with a mile of elevation, no chance of running a low fourteen. N/A cars lose roughly 1.25s in the quarter between here and sea level.

i feel your pain i ran my best time in my gt at a 13.6 at 95mph but the air where i live is never usually under 5000' during the summer months . our elevation here is 3281'
im sure my car would be a second quicker at sea level...

im not sure why my track is not listed but one 100miles to the north is and even at 39º the air is still at elevation ..

temperature = 39.0 deg f
relative humidity = 50 %
uncorrected barometer* = 26.31 Hg
corrected barometer* = 30.00 Hg
density altitude = 3105.70 ft
View forecasted data

dew point = 23 deg f
saturation pressure = 0.238 Hg
vapor pressure = 0.119 Hg
grains = 19.8
air density (w/o water vapor) = 92%
air density (w water vapor) = 91%

here is the website to find the air at your local tracks..
