2v guys, What brand and weight of oil and filter do you use?

valvoline 10w30 and a motorcraft filter, I will not let RP touch my lawn mower let alone my mustang

I use Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 and a KN filter. The only reason I run the KN filter is because it has the nut on the end. I prefer to use that to get it off instead of an oil filter wrench.

There's nothing wrong with RP, I use it in all my cars and I don't see any reason to change yet.

Other than the cost I see nothing "wrong" with it--nor any advantage to paying the extra $$...

I do not generally get into "oil wars" but FWIW here is a great treatise on why 5W-20 sucks.

It was originally a "SynLube" document however I stripped the most blatant snake-oil stuff and left the part that is defensible fact...

no sure i agree with that. there has been many tests done by rp and mobil showing how good 5w-20 is and the ones by rp that show less wear then other oils and weights

Not exactly unbiased opinions--this is why I do not generally get into oil wars.

I have found in my 67 years that there is no point arguing with people of faith, all it does is aggravate you and **** them off...
