Anyone bought a car and had it shipped?

My guess is that someone is trying to scam you... When I was looking for my first Mustang I came across one that was a pretty unbelievable deal. When I emailed them about going to see it, the guy said he was in the military and had the car in storage and that he would ship it to me for free after I paid through PayPal or Western Union or something and that I could return it within 30 days. I searched around some more and it turned out that he had listed that same car about 50 times in different cities and had been doing it for a long time. Unless it's coming from a dealership, I'd probably just let it go.

Yep, scam! I had a similar incident, the guy said he was natl guard, and he would ship to me, and the price was too low to honestly believe. (Too good to be true!)The picture of the car was in perfect condition, and the price was way low. Is this a CL ad?

I also had a friend that almost fell for one for a crotch rocket where they emailed him a very real looking eBay transaction. I was pretty surprised by how legit they were able to make it look, but after searching eBay for the item number and finding nothing, I did some searching on google about the type of transaction it was and pretty quickly found a page on eBay where they were warning you about people scamming you exactly the way this person was trying to... If I were you and if it still seemed like it could be legit, tell the guy you have a friend in the area that can look at the car for you. If he comes up with some excuse why you can't have someone look at it, let it go. If he is willing to do that then hey I bet you could even find someone on here that you could pay a little to go check it out for you.

I used Sho-Tyme when I bought my Roush. Todd (owner) is a Mustang guy through and through. He's the un-official hauler for the Roush forum. Never had any issues at all. He dropped off the car and took amazing care of it on the way. I know several people that have used him to move rare and high end cars all over the US.
www.Sho-Tyme.com is his website.
Dropping off my 'new' Roush in Miami.
