Default Vortech owners here, pullie question

At what size pullie do you typically see belt slip? Factory lower, can you get a 2.96 or whatever size that is closest? Or is 3.12 about it?

With those pullies u might see some slip, just get the tightest belt u can on it, u would be suprised the amount of slip some cars have and people dont even know it , ive seen some cars with 3.4 pullies simply switch to 8 rib and see 2 more psi of boost

does it matter that im only going to 5800 rpm? instead of 6000 or 6200? i put a new tensioner on the car when i put the sc on, im betting that would have a lot to do with belt slip on the larger pullies, it was a pain to get on with the 3.33 that i have now i cant imagine trying to get a 3.6 on. I made 10psi at 6k with the 3.33 and fmic but fueling cause rpm to be lowered so now i only make 8 lol

Well yea, ofcourse the faster your spin the crank the more chance of slip, a long as u get the tightest fitting belt u can you should be ok

lol that kinda defeats the question, since i did say stock lower, implying i only have a 6 rib. even if i had an 8 rib many other things would be an issue long before i had to worry about belt slip haha
