HELP Blown intake manifold
In my 2001 mustang gt the base 4.6 model. I shifted from 3rd to 2nd and blew the colant hose off the (P.O.S) stock plastic intake manifold. I made the horrible decision of driving the car the final mile to my house and when i got their I had serious smoke bellowing up from under the hood. Since then i have replaced the intake manifold but its still making a sucking air sound as if a leak was somewhere in a cable or gasket but their all sealed. The car has no bottom end at least half of the original tourqe. The local performace shop said one side of the motor is not recieving any oil he was vauge about the issue and cost me close to 500 dollars for him to tell me he had no idea. Im not sure if purchasing a new 4.6 is my best option or are their other choices i would assume the block is fine but im not positive. Any help would be apprechiated.

well half that doesnt make sense...so heres my process. 1, when i blew the coolant hose of the back it cost me a factory cop, thats how i knew it was broken actually was a miss. So are you sure you havnt developed a bunch of misses from wet cops? not likly from what it sounds like but still. 2nd id check for a vaccume leak the same way i used to on my older cars, get some starter fluid (be careful) and give a spritz here and there around the intake, and plenum, tb makes sure you dont have a leak. idle will change if you do. Lastly if you somehow sucked water you could have damaged the motor some how, maybe hydrolocked it, bent a valve? its so hard to say with the info you gave. Also check the spark plugs since thats easy, make sure they look normal not wet or burnt.
