Default 4.10's installed..not impressed..

Picked up my car today after getting ford racing 4.10's installed. I have to say, I don't feel them. To me it feels like I have he same 3.27's gears still but he rpms just go up faster. The car doesn't FEEL faster at all....I dunno maybe I'm crazy. Should the difference be obvious from 3.27's? I also had them install a new ford racing Aluminum driveshaft as well. Im going to go through a radar trap and verify that my speedo matches the radar speed ..

I bought the car brand new. I'm the original owner.

I dunno from all reviews about 4.10's I heard u almost have to relearn how to drive your car. Everything feels the same to me.

What, if anything, was done to correct the speedometer?

If nothing then the speedometer will be reading 25% faster than you are actually traveling--which messes with your mind...

Well the first day when I had mine installed I didn't really feel much cause I didn't hammer on i. I went from 3.55 to 4.10's. You'll feel it the most from heavy throttle in low gears but if you don't really have a heavy foot then i guess you won't feel the big impact. I can tell a big difference when I get on it in first and second gear.

Ya maybe this is the case.. I have not really accelerated hard at all because I want to do the 500 mile thing and just break em in first. I've just been driving normally. But I tnought I would still notice a big difference with normal driving.

Tonight I went though one of those radar things posted on the street that tells u how fast your going. I was in 2nd gear and at 2500 rpms and he radar AND my speedometer said I was going about 24mph. So that there confirms I do have 4.10's. Lol...I was just actually nervous cause I bought the gears from eBay.

No , they told me they didn't recalibrate the speedo. Which is good cause I have a SCT 4-bank performance chip installed with a 4.10 speedo correction tune which I'm running now.
