It's impressive that the engine went that far, but they are acting like it's the oil that did that. IMO that engine would have gone the distance with even the cheapest oil for several factors. The modular engines themselves are a very good and durable design as far as age and wear go. Since it came from a business, that van was very likely strictly maintained with regular oil changes, which would explain the lack of sludge buildup. Next up that van was likely running at cruising speeds for the majority of it's life, I highly doubt that the engine was consistently being red lined. And finally the miles were likely highway miles.

If they want to impress me with a racing oil, lets see a long term test of it given to someone driving a beater with no maintenance of any kind. I am talking 15K oil changes, beating the hell out of it, all stop in go in the Texas heat.

I use to use this oil but dad couldn't get delivered for the past few years and now theyre bringing it to us again. Personally, I have had better luck running this oil than any other. The guy sat and chatted a few minutes and I did get to ask a few questions since he was a Schaeffer's rep. Turns out that the 15w 40 and heavier oils still have the zinc in them for flat tappet cams. The guy seemed to know his stuff.

I'm skeptical about that motor having a million miles.
