Oil Separators

Oil Separators
Hey guys, thought I'd share my results after installing both a driver and passenger side oil separator made by JLT on my 04 GT.
Each separator comes with a Motorcraft mesh filter, bracket, hoses and fittings.
They recommend that the oil enters on the filter side.
The passenger side is easy enough to install, there are unused threads already in the block that the bracket bolts to.
Next I drilled the driver side separator in place. I had a bit of trouble fitting it into the recommended area because my car has a strut tower brace.
Results after about a week of driving.
So far the passenger (pcv valve) side separator is doing a pretty good job at keeping oil out of the intake tract. The drivers side separator though is bone dry, likely because it's the cleanest side of the pcv system and my car is N/A.
They're both nice things you could point out at a car show, but the driver side separator would probably only be worth the money if you have forced induction. I am happy with the passenger side separator though.

Update
After about 1k miles, the driver side (inlet) separator remained bone dry.
So I decided to try running the PCV gasses through both separators, to see how much oil is making it past the passenger side separator.
The passenger side separator does a good job by itself, as I have only just started to find a small amount of oil in the 2nd separator.
If you're naturally aspirated, you would be just fine buying only the passenger side separator, but if you already have both, you might as well connect them together to keep your engine as clean as possible.
