Default Thinking of going 18" wheels..

I had gears put in about a year ago which should of been 4:10 but i'm doing alittle over 2500rpm @65 mph on stock 17" wheels (auto).. I got some bad news awhile back that 3 of my rims are bent and they want $150 apiece to fix them and keep my stock rims..

I thought of going up to 18" rims and maybe getting some speed back with the gears which i'm thinking + 5 mph.. does that sound about right?

You mean that you are trying to correct the speedometer by getting bigger wheels to compensate for the 4.10 gear ratio? I don't like it. Get yourself the correct diameter tires for your wheels and fix the speedo with a tuner if you have the extra money

I have a BAMA tuner but it never did adjust speedometer for the gear .. i'm just trying to get some highway speed back with alittle less rpm and though the 18" wheels would gain alittle back.

The diameter of the wheel won't make any difference. You'll need to get larger diameter tires. (OK, the larger wheel will keep the side wall down though.) As for the speedo, Bama should be able to adjust for that.

They don't go together, pick the wheels you want then change the speedo gear or use a tuner if it's 99 or up.
