Ask the price as if ya didnt know... then dont really say anything... silence gets lower prices. Had a ford dealer trying to sell me a 2012 gt with the brembo pack heated seats and a bunch other in great shape 90k miles one owner who was a dr.
They were asking $23k, original sticker from when it was new was right under $40k. By the time i left they offered it to me for just over $16k with no trade in.

Dealerships price thousands above what they paid for anything. And after 30 days of sitting on the lot, their insurance rate on the car doubles, at least where i am it does. Guess it depends on who insures them. But point is they probably gave 5-6k for it. If you bought it for 7k theyd probably be happy. But what do i know? I only made a profit on 4 out of the 5 vehicles ive ever owned. Lol

Very very true. We should start a section on basic negotiation techniques! I think some people could really benefit from it.

I purchased a 2004 GT Convertible, Automatic last month and paid $9500.00 for it. It is triple black, premier trim, Mach 46o, Power drivers seat with power lumbar support, SVT wheels, K&N cold air intake, Flow Master cat back exhaust, 60K miles 40th anniversary package. Car condition is emasculate and so far I love it. First car that I have had for several years the everything works as it should.

On my way to my mother's this morning I was in 5th gear doing about 55 when I felt a sudden surge not bad but it got my attention. Slowed down to about 45 and then the smell started. Pulled it over and waiting for the tow truck. Car shifts fine runs fine. You can hear a metal sound when driving doesn't matter if the clutch is fully depressed as long as it's moving it makes the noise which leads me to say and HOPE it's the transmission as its under warranty. However the smell makes me think it could be the clutch. My first thought was maybe the parking brake was sticking but all the brakes are moving freely. Any ideas? This is my first non automatic and loving it. I'm having it towed to the dealer tomorrow and trying to figure out what to expect.
