My girlfriend got me those lights that shine the mustang logo on the ground when you open the door and im trying to figure out how to wire them. Every installation guide i find is with a car that already has a light on the door so you just connect the wires to that but an 04 mustang doesnt have that. I would prefer not to have to send the wires all around the car just to get a connection. I was wondering if there are wires on the door that i can easily get to by removing the door panel. Would they work if i connect them to the power window wires? or are there dome light wires that run through the door (that would be the best i think, i just dont know what wires are what) All i need is a 12v wire and a ground wire but i dont wanna go around cutting wires unless im 100% its going to work out. I just need the lights to light up when the door is open thats why the dome light wires would work best but like i said i dont know what wires those are. any help is appreciated! thanks in advance.

 

I found out there is a way to connect it to the power locks also. I just dont know what wire that is and i still need a ground.

I have lots of pick I just installed them tonight. To where they come on when you pull the door handle and the go off when its shut. No extra wires just drill the door panel and connect the wires from the light its self.

The yellow and green will get you that function hook the + for the light to the green and yellow. And the - to the black wire (ground). And bam. Works with the doors and doors only. So when you shut it. It goes off. When you open it. It comes on.
