Heads Up Display
Anyone installed a Heads Up Display on a 96 Mustang GT? I am tired ...of replacing the speedometer gear on my wife's hotrod. I purchased a generic HUD off Ebay and it does not work... maybe because this was the first year of OBD??? Thanks for any assist...

I downloaded a HUD app to my phone a couple years back that blue toothed into the obdII port and it actually worked pretty well. Can't remember the name of it but it might be worth researching.

I would consult with either the manufacturer or the seller of your device. Most likely a compatibility issue of some sort? As far as OBD2 parameters your vehicle should have rpm and vehicle speed available.
What's going on with the speedo gear on the transmission that it continually requires replacement? They can and do break/wear/get chewed up somehow, but for the most part it's one of those things that never requires attention for 99.9% of others.
