Default Front struts

Hey Guy's, Put new struts on my 2003 convertible last year. Don't drive it much or very far. Just took a 700 mile trip with it on interstates. Holy crap, thought I'd knock a tooth out with every crack in the road. I mean the front bangs hard. Don't remember the name of strut but they weren't cheap. What can I use to get a much smoother ride?

Clearly something is wrong. Is the car lowered? Did you mess with the caster/camber plates? Are the new struts adjustable?

Who did the install and were the spring seats and strut bearings replaced as well? Sounds like something wasn't put back together properly.
