Default RE: power window question

Hello JewJenk. I had the same problem on my '02 Saleen. There is a small box (4x7x1) against the kick panel above the left foot just under the dash. Very hard to get out and has 5 plugs on it. My driver window went down, but then did not go back up. Checked power to/from switch in door and is ok. The DRIVERS window power goes through this box. There is a small relay that makes the little clicking sound when rolling down. There is NO click upon rolling the window back up (even now that window is working again). Dealer checked all the wires and the motor and found nothing wrong. He put the box back in, and window started working. A few weeks back, I had the box in/out several times to remove the damn "nanny" beeper, and window worked fine at the time. Upon the failure of window, I once again, removed/installed box several times, and window still did not work. So connections don't appear to be the issue.

I hesitate to just buy another box at $350.00 but don't want to get stuck in the rain at a bridge toll with a window that will not go up again!

I have the same exact problem with my Mustang, it's a 2002.

My driver side window though does not work during the Summer, and then around November it starts working again.

It started happening to me again just last week, the window was working fine, and then it just stopped working. I thought I was going crazy.

I am glad others are having the same problem, but is there a genuine true fix. I thought it was the wires.

Form what I hear, it is a common problem.
I took my 02 to the dealer for the same problem. They had it for two days before
anyone looked at it. It was a motor and would cost $230 to fix but they had to order
the part. I work at Autozone and told the service writer I could have the motor to
him in 10 minutes. They charged me $80 to install the motor and it works great.

Same problem here, I took the motor out and beat the **** out of it with a rubber mallet and put it back in and its work fine since. I just make sure that I never put the window all the way down so I can just force it up if it ever gets stuck again,

this is a very common problem with my 2001 bullitt as well, i was told a long time ago that if you slam the door as hard as you can the window will roll up, sure enough! everytime it happens (bout once a month) just open the door and give it the slam from hell. works like a charm. too lazy to go through the damn thing to find out whats causing the issue. give it a try next time.
