Default Comparing basic tunes

Not having a programmer, nor a CAI kit for my '07 GT(/CS), yet - I was just wondering how comprehensive the different tunes were in regards to A/F ratios, and so on, for the different programmers/CAI combos out there. After a lot of study, I get the feeling that a lot of these "custom" tunes are nothing more than the 93 octane tune, with negligible differences in A/F mixtures, on top of the CAI. Anyone care to prove me wrong? Not trying to be a smartass here, I would genuinely like to know...

I could not live with the stock throttle response. I just got my CAI and XCAL2 tune from evo. The most important part of this setup is the change in throttle by wire behavior. Now (87 octane tune) when I kick the gas the car actually responds like a muscle car should - it used to feel like a turbo where you have to wait a second for the power to arrive. My car is bit louder now and it feels more like raw horsepower at WOT. I do have a complaint about high idle for a few seconds after a cold start so I am thinking of getting an O/R Xpipe from Brenspeed and buying their tunes to see if the high idle syndrome goes away.
