Default B&M Short Shifter

So I'm at Hot August Nights in Reno this year and I went to the Big Boy's Toys store...Holy crap they had some cool stuff there, as well as two hot models, but I digress...

So, I stopped in at the B&M booth to ask them if they had their short shifter for the 05+ Mustangs out yet...Sure enough they do, and the actually had one on display. Felt like a nice solid unit (but I would expect no less from B&M). The rep said he had one on his 05 and gave it a thumbs up, but I would like some opinions from those that aren't paid to say it is nice. It also appears to be a steal at $200 through Summit Racing, compared to the $250+ for some of the other shifters.

I couldn't find any reviews when searching, so if anyone has any input that would be great.

I have only known one person that had a B&M on a S197 and they changed it out for a Pro 5.0. According to him the Pro 5.0 was a lot better.
Sorry, that's the closest thing I have to any experience with one.

You would honestly want your shifter shorter?

IMO.. you get any shorter you'll have a ball sticking out of a hole, and it'll be a ***tch around town. Not like this is an 03 mustang with that foot long pole sticking out the trany.

Short throw that I've installed was a Roush and not a B&M.Very nice unit.Shifting is quick and precise.
I had put a B&M shifter on my old Vette(6 speed).I found it to be very stiff, when shifting.I helped define the gate pattern on the car.Assuming the B&M is a simular set up for the Mustang, then it may be a bit stiffer running through the gears.B&M would be my 2nd choice. It is a well made unit.A lot of people recommend it.

[sm=funnypostabove.gif][sm=icon_beat.gif] I want my shifter so short that I have to stick my finger in the trany to shift. Guess you have to spell it out all the time on here.
