Default Hellion Turbo

Hello all I have finally decided to get the Hellion Turbo it will be going on ASAP. Couple of questions though what else do you think I should do with it. I have a few other parts getting installed at the same time. I have the CHE Pro Control arm pack with poly bushings. I am also having the new Corsa axle back and a aluminum driveshaft being installed. My biggest questions is do I need to upgrade my clutch and what about my wheels and tires. I like the factory 18s but dont know about getting my stock tires to hook? Oh yeah I will have my C&L intake and superchips programmer for sale. I figure 500 should be a good price, it only has 700 miles on the intake and reprogrammer. It will be a good deal for whoever wants it, It will be available for purchase as soon as the car goes in to the shop. Well thanks for any and all advice and I will post some dyno numbers after the install and tune. I will try to get my installer to photograph the build so I can post it on here.

Well I realized a few things that need to be added, I forgot all about a boost gauge and fuel pressure gauge. Besides that I think everything else is lined up, hope all goes well because this will be my first ever F/I car. The install should start on teusday so we will see how it all goes.

Let us know how it turns out!

I would recommend upgrading the clutch as soon as possible! The tires and wheels I would keep. If you are interested in traction find another set of wheels and get a set of slicks/drag radials for the track. It is worth it to have the ability to rotate your street tires and usually comes out cheaper in the end.

Oil Pressure / Tempature guages are useful.

Well I will be using the diablo sport programmer that is what my installer uses to tune on the dyno. The kit does not come with a tune it must be done by the installer. As to the gauges those are on my list just kinda trying to budget my money. This whole thing seems to be adding up to alot more than expected. I am now looking at having to get a new clutch and a second set of rear wheels with some 315 35 nitto 555r extreme drag radials. I would buy slicks but I dont have all the required safety items yet. I am shooting to get to the 11's before I go back to work on the 18th of november.

Did you get any of the upgrades to the turbo kit? or just the standard kit? I am debating between this kit and the Kenne Bell. Please let us know how this kit works out.

Well I got just the stock kit with the polished turbo. I was told and I believe them that this turbo will go way above my engine and fuel systems ability to keep up. My installer called today and said that he was delayed starting on it and wouldnt get started untill this afternoon he was about to drive it and do a baseline Dyno. I never had it dyno'd before so I am interested to see what it was putting out. All I had was C&L, superchips and Corsa After cat. My biggest concern right now is traction. I need to get some new wheels and tires for it but the wife put a stop to my budget.
