Best CAI??
I bought the K&N CAI for my car when I first bought it due to the fact it said I would'nt need to tune the car for it.But now that Im moving up the mod list(Have'nt updated my sig yet)I was wondering what CAI out there produced the most HP/Torque?
Let me begin saying that I haven't tested any others, BUT........ IMO the C&L CAI is the greatest. That plus a brenspeed tune will literally make you feel like you are driving a different car.
After many hours on the forum, thanks to you guys, I ordered the C&L cai and X-cal 2 from brenspeed, installed it today and dam are you guys right, I will spend the next week learning to drive my stang all over again, I also do mountain racing and asked brent to do a custom tune which he was happy to do where my tranny hold its rpm's for 10% longer before shifting to the next gear, I havent had a chance to take it thru the mountain turns yet but just through the foolhills its more fun than i have had since prom night. I thoght the 599 price was high untill i took my first run and all i can say is that it was worth every cent and more. Thanks

The street version, cast aluminum is 675.00 the racer verson black plastic is 599.00 I went with the race version for the following reasons. plastic does not retail and transfer heat as well, its lighter and easier to secure, it looks more stock if thats possible, and 75.00 less. he experimented with a tune for me when I told him I did mountain racing thru the turns, which holds the rpms longer before shifting to the next gear and I am so happy with the street performance leaving that tune in for all my driving, when I moderately excellerate it keeps me up in the torque curve so it pulls strong all the way. I feel this is where ford should have programed this to start with. I havent had this much fu since prom night.
