Default Flowmasters

Hey guys-I've been looking at mufflers to replace my stock mufflers. I wasnt looking to change anything else, just the mufflers. I like the sound of borlas, and Flowmasters. I haven't really heard the Ford Racing exhaust, does anyone know the price of the Ford Racing/borla stingers? Also, the flowmasters sound great to me, but i noticed that they are around 269, while the borlas are 499. What makes the borlas so much more expenisive? Are the Flowmasters pretty loud?

Hello,

I wanted the same for my 06GT. Check youtube for some cool clips. I have seen some good vids w/flowmaster but after hearing a few in person I would recommend avoiding the amercian thunder. Go with the 40 delta. Better low rumble. A few local shops hear in northern Ca quoted me 250 to 300 for a set installed... Good luck

I love my Flowmaster AT's....They started out a bit louder than stock, but with age have gotten progressively louder.....And, they really wake up with a CAI and tune....

As far as low rumble, my next door neighbor says mine sounds like a ski boat idling when I start it at 6:00 in the morning....

I love my ATs as well. Nevermind when you stomp on her and you get that nice flowmaster growl...but I like how it sounds when you first start her up too!
My wife was at a nieghborhood party the other night and one of the neighbors told her that they know when I'm going to work because they can hear me. The cool part is they live like 100yds away! Sweeeet

Lol thats what I want - I just cant believe the price! Would I really need a shop to install? is it the same as installing a GT takeoff onto a V6?

The install on the axle backs is not difficult. It took me and my 11 year old gear head about 45 minutes or so, never jacked up the car.....

yup...my 12yr old and myself had it done in about an hour. If you can turn a wrench, you can install 'em!

Borlas are stainless steel while Flowmasters are aluminized. That is why there is a big price difference.

I got my FRPP Stingers for $420 delivered from Jegs.
