Ford Racing GTA 5230 / Borla 11752 - (Not the Stingers). I have read numerous posts indicating that these two mufflers are made by Borla and are identical. After some research on this subject, I have found out that is not the case. While it is true that both mufflers are made by Borla, The Ford Racing GTA's are stainless 409 while the Borlas are stainless 304, which explains the price difference ($200). Should I be concerned about 409 grade mufflers? Is it worth the extra $200 to get the 304 grade mufflers? It is interesting however, that the Ford Racing / Borla 11750 (Resonator type Stingers) do appear to be identical. They are both stainless 304.

 

Someone else said 5230's are made by Supreme muffler.

 

I have the Borla cat backs, the quieter ones, and I like them very much. A Deeper slightly louder than stock sound, and when you step on it a nice tight tough sound, no drone. Erik
