Default Shifter problem ? or trany ?

hey guys,

Haven't been here in a long time.

well holiday is the reason and i was busy with my quad project. Anyway i haven't driven my mustang in a while and this week when I got back to driving it, its perfect as it was. the only reason is that sometimes when shifting from 3rd from 4th I have to give some pressue, and about the reverse is kills my hand man.. I tried going through all gears too then reverse but it just lags there.. I have to pull it as hard as I can...

what could be the problem ? Plz tell me its the shifter..

and did Hurst get out that new shifter of theirs ? cuz Wtf is taking them so long ?

If it is still not out a question is asked and said... If I got a pro 5.0 short shifter, would a hurst stick and **** fit there ? u know it will look like a hurst but the short shifter is pro 5.0 .. I just like the hurst look.. other than that I'd get the pro 5.0

If you've been bangin the gears a lot, probably worn sincro's.
Sounds like a sticky throw out bearing though. It might go away with some use.
Good luck!

I doubt its the synchros cuz there is no sound at all. It's just that its heavier to shift sometimes.

I have just came in from a little cruise and the 3rd to 4th thing seemed to be gone but the reverse is still there...

like I said, it is most likely a sticky throw out bearing
that's why reverse still sticks a little bit
it's losensing up
good luck
