05 Gt engine swap

05 Gt engine swap
Wasn't to sure if this belonged here. I am wondering how difficult it would be to swap a 2005 Gt engine into a sn95 body. I would be getting all the parts with new computer but I need to know how well it will fit. Also it will come to me with the transmission from the 05 so I was wondering if that would work in the sn95 or if I would have to use my transmission or if I could even use my transmission. Thanks for any help.

Well I'm on somewhat of a budget for this and I found a 3v for cheaper plus it'd be different. Just needing to know if anyone knows any complications I'd run into with this swap. and the transmission question I asked.

I, for one think it's not worth the effort. I don't know if it would fit at all, but even if it did the electronics involved would be a PITA. I think your money would be better spent in an investment collecting interest for a year and purchase a new Stang. The biggest advantage of the S197 over the 95 is not the engine anyway, it's the chassis itself.

swap alone would be a PITA due to the motor mounts and such. it would be better for you to stroke a 302 to a 347 or stroke a 351 to a 408 before i would swap the S197 motor in place. A 96-04 would be alot easier, just need the computer, electrical componets and a 96-04 K memeber and such.
