i had motives (4.10s) whined like a Beotch, never know that with a higher set, and a good installer, ya never know, my advice, stick with FRPP! 200 bucks shipped from www.stangmods.com

nothing wrong with motives, helical cut gears will NOT whine if properly installed

fyi, motive makes mostfords gears and 99% of the time you see motives in track cars

I had 4.10 Motives put in my auto 2 weeks ago with no whine. I did have a problem with some noise due to not enough friction modifier but I took it back to the shop and it's fixed now.

I have 3.90 Motives, only have about 150 miles on them. Slight wine under deceleration. Installer told me that the pattern was perfect on install and Motive says needs 500 miles brake-in. Installer said after 500 miles he would re-shim if wine was still there. I think it is the installer more than just the brand of gears.

Go FRPP. Go with the best and if this takes a few more bucks so be it.
