Anyone having problems with the front pump on their 2006 V-6 auto Mustang?
In cold weather (20F or so) I get this scraping sound in the first mile or so.
The dealer has traced it to the transmission and thinks it's coming from the front pump put is not sure so they give it back to me saying it has to be worse to fix.
They did change the trans filter and screen and found no metal filings. Still, I'm awfully uncomfortable driving with this defect.
Anyone have a similar problem?

I haven't heard of trans pump problems. I'd be making a big stink about it though. It sounds as if they're hoping it won't fail until after the warranty is up.
