Check out new times! some advice needed
Thanks a lot man... I appreciate the advive, this place sure makes choices on parts easy. I would still like to get some feedback on the price on a set of bogart d10's and the proper tire size that would still look good in the fender well. Oh yeah say the bogarts are a little higher than i want to spend which i say they are, what would i need to do to get the 15x10 weld rodlites to fit, a few people tell me there no way they will fit but i hope they will cause i have no concern in buying heavy wheels my main objective is to run near or in the 10's, plus i like the way drag wheels look. Oh yeah i am running the base 93 tune with the global turned up to 7, and the rev limiter turned to 6800. I am getting a dyno tune soon though. Will the 15'x4 fit the front as well?
I just wanted to say this, Don't take as if i am bragging cause i am not, i just want to tell all thosethat a blower isn't the only way to get these cars to run 11's or even low 12s. I knew if i had some slicks or et streets or even drag radials i would have dropped into the 11's. 1.9 short times arent bad if your driving a bone stock 95 gt convertible. The only reason i went to the track this past weekend onstock tiresis casue i got a freind who just put that 900 dollar intake that makes 12hpin his LS1, it has bolt ons, cams, gears, and is150 lbs lighter than mine.He wassaying there wasn't any way the s197 could perform as well a the gm cars do with similar bolt ons. When it was all said and done the best he went was12.30's @ 110 with a 1.75 short time(BFG's). You should have seen the look on his face when the first pass i ran a 12.30 with a 2.02 60ft. My second 2 runs really hurt his feelings. I love takin 281cubic inches and out running 340. I had him talkin about saling it after i spun toa 12.17 @ 111.
Nice to see someone going the N/A Route! Definately get some suspension upgrades out back, as Crazy Al mentioned. Along with a 1pc Driveshaft and Drag Radials/Slicks you should be comfortably into the 11s.
I appreciate it, i will be putting the gas on my car soon though, i was wondering is the plate kit buy NX really worth $800plus, i was thinkin aobut going with the dyno tune kit. And running the 100 shot. I was also wondering i got the regular 17' factory wheels what is the best size nitto or bfg i could squeeze on there?

I'd say you have aslim chance unless you get a good set of heads or a nitrous kit, the weight ia major issue, i went 12.17 on street tires, but you didn't mention getting heads. After i swaped the heads and cams it really feels likemy buddies 331car. If you have a automatic, i suggest a good tight 3,500 stall and a 100 shot and i gaurantee with the mods you mentioned youll run mid 11's with sticky tires... If you got a stick shift atleast go 3.90's. I hope with sticky tires, driveshaft, 100 shot i think i can pull off a low 11 sec pass or maybe even a 10 sec run, i ran low 12's on stock tires and 1.97 short times. I can't wait untile i get some more funds. Something else i learned is the electric water pumps are netting 0hp on the dyno.
