Question about tune loaded?
LOL just lately checking these tunes. I had checked the codes prior to installing the new tune and never had any. Then I loaded the b-ama tune, went out and tested it, and had the problems so last night I checked the codes and had those 2. Do I just leave them in there or do I clear them?
You can clear them if you like.
However, the program does a diagnostic check of all sensors etc. periodically. It's a normal function.
Chances are after a few driving cycles from a cold start and provided none of the sensors are running out of range, the codeswillclear anyway.
Cool eh?
I wouldn't bother checking for codes that often. In fact I'd only check for codes if the check engine light is on.

Yeah , thanks. I will try to get ahold of doug to see if he can help. Have heard alot of good stuff about his tunes, but this definately doesnt make me happy, lol.
Ok, so I had a chance to reload previous tune and run car again. Shifted fine and ran like it had before. So thats telling me there is something wrong with the b-ama tune he sent me. I was also wrong when I got the 2 trouble codes I did have a check engine light. I removed the codes after I reloaded previous tune, ran the car and never got any clodes or check engine light again. I also discovered when I cam back from running car, I had a tranny leak. Not sure wheres its coming from. When I bought car the previous owner had already installed the extra big tranny pan and dipstick. I pulled the cover off to look up near convertor but it was dry under there and the lines were dry. Im beginning to wonder if the tranny was just overfull. I dont know much about these cars but does anyone know if its overfull if it will puke out? I had wife sit in car and go back and forth between drive and reverse but never seen any leaks. All I know is Im not to impressed with the tune I was sent by Doug. First of all I sent him by diablo tuner to load the tune instead of emailing it to me cause I wasnt in a hurry and when I got it back there was no tune installed, lol. So I had to send it back again (wait) and have him redo it, to get a tune that isnt right.
I sure did. A complete list. And on top of that he never answers his emails, phone, or return messages.Im beginning to think get rid of the diablo , get an SCT and tune from Brenspeed, or I live in Illinois, take car to Anderson Ford, I hear they are pretty good. Im definately not happy with what I have gone thru with getting a tune from Doug and him not responding, thats not very good customer relations.
It has been discussed many times, maybe not in this forum so much but if you ever go to others you will see. Doug is pretty much a one man show and with the race season and spring on its way he is super busy. He will get back to you though. He posted over on TMS that he is trying to devote Sat. I think to replying to emails since he is busy in the shop the whole week otherwise.
Two words for you:
torque management
That is what is used between shifts to keep the tranny alive and well.
It sounds like he has the torque management setting incorrect.
The automatics pull power out between shifts. This is all adustable with a tuner and sounds like your settings are not right on.
ALSO - The automatics have a vent tube near bell housing on top of tranny. They frequently spit out fluid after spirited driving, probably a result of fluid expansion due to heat.

Like others have said, you might have just gotten a bad tune file. I am running Dougs 91 TORQ tune in my auto and it shifts perfectly.I have the Diablo Predator as well. Doug is super busy but his customer service is second to none. I have sent him lots of email in the past and he is always willing to answer them all.
