Default Why juice?

Ok so i have never liked n2o. I dont like the idea of not having your power on "tap" all the time. I understang that it is a cheap way to get some imperssive numbers out of your car. But thoes numbers are not always there. So i would like it if everyone could tell me what kit they are running, what size shot, how many times they have used it, how long of a duration, and what your thoughts are on the subject.

i agree with your point...I don't like the idea of having to turn off the car and switch tunes each time you want to run off the bottle - this would be fine at the track, but it would be useless at a red light. If there was a nice and affordable way to switch tunes (or adjust the spark timing or w/e you need to do) on the go with the simple press of a button, then i would seriously consider nitrous. How do you nitrous users out there deal with this?

As for your specific questions 06_gt, I would probably go with the Zex 125shot if i ever get nitrous, mostly because it seems very popular here, I've used it zero times [8D], and i'm not sure what the duration of a bottle is in seconds, but i believe it really depends on ur bottle size and i think like a 10lb bottle will get you somewhere in the ballpark of 5-10 quarter mile runs? However I'm no nitrous expert

Running a nitrous tune only takes about 5-8HP at most from you.So I run my N2o tune all the time.Im hitting her in the head with a 125 zex shot and a 10 lb bottle will net you 4 solid passes(@125 shot.Smaller shots, the bottle last longer).Playing on the streets you will get more life at of the bottle due to only going from light to light so its not always a full 1/4 run.Been an N20 user for awhile & see only one down side. The bottle does run out eventually.LOL!

I also run my NOS tune all the time. Until you ride in a car with nitrous you wont understand. I run a hundred shot. Who cares how long it lasts. Its worth it, if you cant afford to play with the Big boys dont install it. I pay $3.00 a lbs. $30.00 bucks a fill.

I was not talking about how long the bottle lasts i was talking about the duration of the shot (how long you are spaying each time) How long the bottle lasts doesnt matter.

well from what i understand you would spray the whole time you are racing, so i'd say around 12-13 seconds in a quarter mile run. however ive heard of some people that don't spray in first gear because it gets too much torque and just spins the tires.

only 5-8hp? i was expecting something more drastic. Running the n2o tune all the time doesnt damage the engine or anything? What are all the differences between n20 and n/a tunes? A/F ratio, spark timing...?

well i know the zex kit has it come on at WOT. You must have a switch to arm the system or something (to turn it on and off) Could you launch in 1st the flip the switch while in 2nd and use it like that? Can you turn it On while on the fly (while moving) I would like to put a zex kit on my car but i dont want to spray out of the hole till i get D/R.

Yeah, you can hit the N20 in 2nd gear.I use to do that before my Nittos.Sometimes depending on road conditions I still spray 2nd and 3rd and 4th.1st gear spraying is tricky if you dont have the right hook up with tires & suspension.
