You have to have a specific tune for you CAI. the handheld device itself makes no difference. The person writing the tune does. Brenspeed only carries SCT while B ama use both SCT and Diablo.

noone has mentioned it and I know some people are going to flame it but Granatelli has a CAI that does not require a tune. You do get good hp out of it. also if you later want to put on a tune you can easily. I like you don't want to void my warranty. if you need to take it to the dealer you just swap out and put the stock one back on. you will hear and feel a difference. I know what i'm talking about because I have one. some people don't like gms because of problems they had ( and rightfully so) but I have not. plus I think the polished gms one looks the best. let the flaming begin...

AirAid has an insert that makes it a tuneless intake. You can remove that insert and add a tune later. If you get a tuneless intake, something upgradable, such as AirAid, would be wise to save money in the long run. You won't be tuneless long because it's obvious you already have the itch from the mod bug.

I highly suggest a tuner though. It will not void your factory warranty, though some dealerships can be **** about mods.

+1 on what Getaway said. I have the Airraid, same as the Roush. You can keep the MVT in and need no tune, or when you get somemore mods, buy the Tuner and take the MVT out for alot more air flow, it's a 4inch tube. Also i had mine paint matched and it looks awesome. I had to take mine to the dealership a little ago and it's easy to swap it back to the stock intake and slap the stock tune back in and Ford won't know a thing. though you will feel a power difference when you go back to stock. Also when you take the mvt out and get a tune, you actually will gain some HP but not as much as you think you will get. It flows pretty good with the MVT and no tune

Brenspeed sells an airaid/SCT tunerpackage, I asked them and the airaid itself will give 5-7hp increase but with a tune it's 25-30hp and a much improved throttle repsonse. I just bought my 06GT a couple weeks back and it came with the airaidcai already installed. I am however considering going withb amaas well based on comments I've read about both

My setup includes the Airaid leaving the MVT in, and SLP pulleys. Pretty good difference imo. The tune is on its way and although I dont have a tuned car, I can still say they make a huge difference. Lots of fun, lol.

Most CIA's require a tune and that is where you will pick up the realHP. I am running the Steeda CAI with SCT/tune along with Steeda underdrive pulleys and the IMRC delete and am very happy with the results, 311 RWHP and 328 RWTQ.The averagestock GT with a 5 speed clocks in on the dyno with around 273 RWHP.The mods I choose ended up being worth about 38 HP at the rear wheels. It was a good bang for the buck. The CAI and SCT/tune was worth probably 25 of that pick-up which is the best bang for the buckanyone can do to a Mustang.

Holy Sh*t!!! 311hp with just the IMRC delete, UDP's, intake and tune? That is awesome, and its making me more and more glad that I bought a 3v. They seem to respond just aswell as N/A 4v's.

I was real happy with the resutls. Steeda said I would see an 25 to 30 hp increase with these mods at the rear wheels. A stock 5 speed GT generally has somewhere between 273 and 278 RWHP, so I got somewere beteween 33 to 38 horse power at the rear wheels. I don't have a baseline run, so I will never know the exact amout, but I can tell you my right foot is real happy.

Best Regards
