06 GT Manual Shifter **** Thread Size?
Anybody know what size threading is used on the shifter **** for the 06 manualstick? I want to swap out shifter ***** with one of my own but I need to know the size for the tap and drill? Also has anyone taken one of theirs apart? Is it screw on, how is it affixed? I tried fooling with mine short of breaking it and could get if off easily. Does anyone have a schamatic of the parts out their or know where I can get one?
Thank you in advance!
Matt

RE: 06 GT Manual Shifter **** Thread Size?
I've made a few shift ***** for my 07 gt, the threads on mine are M12x1.25 , somewhat of a extra fine metric pitch.
7/16 works fine for your tap drill size, i recommend only tapping about 1 in. deep , make the rest of the hole a clearance.
I put set screws in the base of theshift knobsi made to ensure no movement
good luck!

Yes after an extensive search of pitches and MM I now know what you know. I haven't consulted the site for a few days and went on the other guys sizing to start. So thank you for confirming what I have learned. That will teach me tolook here more often.
Again thanks,
Matt
