oh god, i tihnk everyone has different ones. A lot of people say MGW, little pricy but probably the best. Hurst has that nice classic look(my favortie probably), dunno too much about the others except Steeda claims you'll never miss 3rd with theirs.

My train of thought was basically... If it's good enough for Carol Shelby, it's good enough for me. Just ordered my Hurst so I can't say good or bad definately.. I would stay away from B&M. A buddy of mine used to work for them, and he says their shifter for the new S197's are crap.

I'm waiting for more of a long-term assessment of MGW. There was a lot of hoopla around their introduction (finally) but then at least one member reported his pretty much self-destructed and he sent it back.

I don't know of anyone who has broken a Hurst (yet). People say rowing a Hurst feels like a stick in a box of gravel. I love it.

I've heard alot of negative things about MGW, but I'm not gonna say their true because I dont know. Hurst and Steeda are probably the 2 most popular ones, so you probably cant go wrong with either one.

Actually I've only read one negative response on the MGW, everyone else seemed to be really pleased with it. It all depends on what people want, but I think they should try out a few of the other shifters before making their minds up.

Without a doubt, MGW is the best....

I waited a long ime and was tempted several times to buyt the hurst but am I ever glad I waited. The MGW is a bit more expensive but when you see it, you'll understand why. It is the most adjustable best built shifter on the market and nothing else comes even close.

I think you'll fans of each brand.

I ordered the Hurst from Amazon.com, $199 free shipping and the gasket from Cobrabob $2.50.
