motive gears have been known to have problems....rpm outlet has been documented tons on this forum as well as others.
no they dont, people get ****ty installs and then bitch about motives products cause they got jiped, you will find motive gears in 80% of track cars, no helical cut gears will whine if your installer is smarter then a monkey,

take them back and have it rechecked, helical cut gears will NOT whine if installed right

ive got 2 friends with mustangs and motives, no whine one also has a vette with motives, no whine, my camaro, motives, no whine, my uncles old 70 camaro, motives with no whine (then were swapped out for richmonds which are straight cut and WILL whine), my buddies jeep, motives, and guess what, no whine, my bosses toyota, yup motives again

get someone who knows what they are doin gon the install

If you have the sct X2, then simply reload your tune and change the axle ratio before you load it.

whining on deceleration is a sign of incorrect installation.
+1 gearsetting is an like an art form, and if you don't get it right you get a lot of noise...a good gearsetter's install won't have any singing from the rear end...not that I'm bagging on your guy, but when/if I get my 4:10s I'll be going to someone who has mondo experience in setting them, not just any line mechanic in any shop (again not bagging on him, I don't know who he is etc.)

I agree that with a good install there should not be any problems....but there are still many many people that seem to have problems with the motives while very few have reported any with the actual FRPP......there has to be a reason for it

hey im debating wether or not to put 3.73 or 4.10 it really doesnt matter to me i would prefer 4.10 but am worried about lack of top end speed and having the car screaming in 5th gear at 80 on the highway.
