A guy in our car club here locally got a Denny's driveshaft and went through weeks of trying to get the vibration out. He *thinks* he's got most of the problem fixed but he just put 200 lbs of dynamat in his car so.......

When I'm ready, I'm going to look seriously at the 'spyder shaft'.

i'm going to try to work out something for the guys that already have someone elses driveshaft and are experiencing problems. not sure how i can do it but i'll figure something out to try and help you guys.

the stock driveshaft absorbs an incredible amount of NVH(noise vibrations and harmonics) from the entire driveline.lets say if your tires are out of balance or there is a gear issue, you won't feel it until you put a one piece shaft in it. problem is now there are some driveshafts on the market that don't work very well so diagnosing the problem is tricky. was it something that was already there but couldn't feel it with the stock driveshaft or is it the driveshaft causing it???

I got my denny's driveshaft, but I did not come with install directions or the machined aluminum adaptor plate or any of the hardware. I bought it through Piedmont Modular Performance so idk what is going on Ill have to contact them.

just so you guys know i inspect every one of the driveshafts i sell and package everything myself so that kind of thing doesn't happen. i even label the box as to which side has the hardware since a few people have opened the wrong side and then threw the box away with the hardware still in it. oops.

I contacted Piedmont Modular Performance about my dennys driveshaft missing the machined aluminum adaptor plate or any of the hardware. They replied by saying that it was suspose to come with the cobra pinion flange and hardware, even though it didn't. They said that Denny's is starting to go with them instead of the adaptor plate because of vibration issues. So I hope they will be sending me the cobra pinion flange and hardware sometime soon.

Just so you guys know, I installed the Spyder DS an my problems are gone. I put my pinion at 0* and have a slight "voom voom" sound between 80 - 90 mph, but that will be fixed when I adjust the pinion angle. The vibration issues I had with the Denny's are gone.

THANKS RON!!!!
