what gears do i have?
time to confess... I don't own a jack or jackstands or even ramps.
I need to flash my ecu with my new tune from brenspeed this weekend when I install the cai. but it is made for the 4.10 gears I don't have installed yet. brent said I can just fix this when I upload to my car. but I don't know if I have 3.31 or 3.55 gears.
at 60mph I am at 1800 rpm in fifth. is this about right for 3.31's or 3.55's? thanks!

call your VIN number in to your local fomoco dealer...
p.s. it's weird that a tune would include a gear swap recalibration when you always have the option to change the rear end ratio whenever you load the tune, but oh well...

Try this....slide under the car and check the rear diff cover (if stock from the factory) and there usually is a sticker that tells what gear size is in the rear diff. If that doesn't work check the window sticker for the car if you have it and it says on there. Manual is 3.55 auto is 3.31

it is a 5 speed manual. and i'm too fat to just "slide under the car", hence my confession that i don't have a jack or stands so getting under the car really isn't an option for me
so is the general opinion that I have 3.55's?
