It's a feature that started showing up with OBDI electronics and is nearly a standard feature on OBDII. I may be a mallet head...but at least I can understand what I read.

Ok...re-read my first response.
Since ya missed my point first time around.... When you are drag racing, you generally mash the Go pedal to the floor. When you do that, it's called Wide Open Throttle(also called WOT). When the cars computer sense that it's in a WOT state, IT SHUTS THE AC OFF. So, unless you figure out how to make the computer in your car let you have AC at WOT, or decide to drag race at less than 80% Throttle, THE CAR WON'T LET YOU DO IT.
It's a feature that started showing up with OBDI electronics and is nearly a standard feature on OBDII. I may be a mallet head...but at least I can understand what I read.
