Default Ok I need some real help! Transmission Fluid!

I just went looking for transmission fluid for my 2006Mustang GT (manual transmission).
The owners manual says to useMotocraft MERCON ATF for my manual 06GT.

I cannot find any ANYWHERE.
The instruction manual says NOT to use MERCON V for the manuals.. but that is all I can find.
What's more... the dealership I went to said they dont make Motocraft MERCON ATF anymore... only V.
I went to the dealership, Pep Boys, Autozone, and O'Reilly's.. none of them had it.

What the hell am I supposed to do?
Can anyone tell me what kind of transmission oil I should get?

I don't know what dealer you went to, but if they don't have it they can get it
ford part #XT 2 QDX retails for $2.72 a quart.
ford now recommends using mercon V.

I don't understand why your local dealer can't get the original mercon, because I just called my local motorcraft distributor and he said no problem he had plenty.
but anywayMercon Vis what ford is now recommending.

Motorcraft® Full Synthetic Manual Transmission Fluid is a premium-quality SAE 75W-90 gear oil designed, engineered and recommended by Ford Motor Company meeting warranty requirements. It is particularly recommended for MTX-75 and IB5 transmissions, and is also recommended for older transmissions including rear wheel drive that recommend GL-3 and GL-4 type gear oils

Motorcraft® Full Synthetic Manual Transmission Fluid is manufactured with synthetic base oils and performance additives providing improved gear shifting at all ambient temperatures. Its wear protection extends the life of synchronizers and bearings

Due to its excellent thermal, oxidative and shear stability, this fluid meets Ford’s fill-for-life requirements. Reduced friction and optimal lubrication reduces operating temperatures, increases component life and improves efficiency
NOT FOR USE IN TR3650 TRANSMISSIONS
USE MERCON V
